The Woodford County Yellow Jacket football team fell 21-0 to Meade Co. tonight. That makes nine straight quarters of scoreless ball for the Jackets. The one bright spot - the defense played better.
As a goalie, I can tell you a little about a slap shot. They come at you fast. They come at you hard. And you usually don't know where the shot will end up until it gets there. It may find the back of the net, but it could just as easily careen off the boards with a earsplitting crack.
This blog, like my column in the Sun, will share the slap shot's attributes.
I look forward to engaging my readers in rational discussions...at least as rational as a discussion about the passionate world of sports can be.
